Dharma Trading

I was featured on the Dharma Trading site! This is a catalog I discovered in 1995, they sell tie-dye supplies, clothing blanks, inks, paints, PFD fabric, a treasure box for creative people like myself! Check them out.

One of my original concepts, hand painted cloth patches on hand-dyed clothing. Blanks and cloth from Dharma on a friend's kids several years ago:

FINALLY.... whew....

I received an order of 12 of the Boho shirt a few weeks ago and I finished the order tonight, YAYYYY. It was very tedious sewing work. I had such fun making the two I listed on Etsy and then got the order of twelve... Anyway, here are some photos, I love the way all the colors look together. They are going to West Palm Beach, FLA so these are the perfect colors.

I also ironed on my labels for the first time using steam a seam and I pinked the edges, I really like the look.

All "the girls" - I don't know why but this reminds me of a girl's chorus (too little sleep perhaps?)

The labels ironed on at the hem:

Still life with labels (now I KNOW I need some sleep!)

Ideas.... Directions...

So, now that it's the beginning of Fall, my mind turns to....

SPRING! Sounds silly but I'm already thinking about what to make for Spring wardrobes! Part of this has been inspired by my desire to start sewing from scratch again. I have ordered some yummy Japanese fabrics in cotton, linen and double-gauze cotton to put together some ideas. Here are some of the fabrics.

Don't worry, I am also thinking about holiday and winter styles but for the scratch sewing I'm going to have to start thinking now!

I'm also busy putting together a wholesale order so I'm cutting out purple flowers in the wee hours of the night while I watch really bad TV and my husband sleeps. Sound fun?
